Bonsoir,
J'ai l'opportunité de récupérer ( Gratos)des boites à vitesses de Fiat ( parmi une cinquantaine disponibles ) .
Elles sont démontées du moteur mais je ne sais pas les identifier.
Pour les Pandas ça devrait aller mais je sais que des pièces de boite de Uno, ou de Cinquecento sont compatibles.
Comment les identifier: Emplacement d'un code identifiant, N° de série etc ...

elles sont presque soeur jumelles, en tout cas tu ne peut pas te tromper.
de la fiat 127, à la uno en passant par l'a112, panda 45, 750,1000, marbella...quasi les mêmes, que la commande qui change et les pignons dedans. :wink:
surtout si il y a de la 4x4il faut les prendre! :!:

T as notamment les boites C501 ( panda et Y10 1000 Fire ) et C526 ( à tringles bv5, panda 900i et 1100i, seiciento ) identifié par une petite étiquette sur le haut coté cloche d embrayage

C514 de cinquecento ou seiciento Sporting, ainsi que de Punto 55, pouvant etre des bv5 comme des bv6, les fiat brava/bravo/marea/palio
C506 qui fait aussi les Fiat uno

The 1.3 Multi-jet would be using the C514R (this is a re-enforced C514) and it's torque limit is raised to 190Nm which is still slightly under the torque of the engine at 200Nm.
On the A500 there are using a heavy duty gear box called the C510 which came from the Alfa 147 and I would guess its being used in the TB120 and the MA135.
Since the turbo on the 155TB is slightly bigger than the one on the A500 the torque produced is 230Nm whilst the standard A500 is 206Nm. So the M32 with the 6 speeds is used in the 155TB. This gearbox is not the easiest of gearboxs to use but it gives the 155B more 'Modification de Piches' capability than the C510 5 speed.
The 1.6 MJ is a surprisingly power diesel engine in Dynamic mode. A lot of manufactures have struggled with the increased torque from their more powerful diesel engines.
I have not owned the M32 gearbox long enough to experience any problems with it I would guess that a lot of the issues experienced on the GP 1.9 MJ could have been prematurely brought on if the engine was re-mapped or a Modification de Piches box fitted.
In relation to 'progress' the M32 gearbox has now being upgraded to the C635 on the QV which seems to be a 'big' improvement if we ignore the 1st gear issues that the earlier ones experienced - alfa appear to have been addressed this.

This gearbox is a very sweet gearbox (much nicer than the M32) and IMHO and seems nicer than the 5 speed variant in the C514. In fact some have fitted a Supercharger to the 500 1.4 16V and the C514 gearbox seems to have coped. There is a double cone on 1st & 2nd gear whilst the rest have single cones so it helps (same as the M32 - don't know about the C510).

On the earlier version 1.3MJ with the 6 speed (without the DPF) I don't know which gearbox was used i.e. the C514 6 speed or the C514R with a 6 speed. I've only 'heard' of a C514R with a 5 speed. Looking back on the 1.3 MJ variations - the power outputs and the number of gears has varied a lot. The current drop in power to 85bhp is to get the emissions below 100grs/km.

The trend of fitting of Fiat / Alfa fitting 5 speed : on the US Fiat 500 a 5 speed manual was fitted because the 6 speed wouldn't fit due to additional front end protection. But on their automatic (they have no dualogic) they have 6 speeds. Fiat have lost out to MINI on the lack of a 6 speed gearbox.

In some ways a 5 speed is sufficient on a Turbo charged engine and on the 135bhp power level in the petrol the spacing of the gears is just right. The 6th gear does make for a more comfortable motorway drive and from a personal viewpoint I like the option of dropping either into 4th or 5th for overtaking with the 6 speed. If I was doing the Nubergring I reckon I would prefer a 5 speed so that I could keep my hands longer on the steering wheel.

Lastly on the C510 (rated at 201Nm !) seems to cope with around 230-240Nm but once you get into 240Nm+ a whine starts to develop. I've already heard this on 2 A500s with lowish mileage. From RR outputs a Modification de Piches box produces 242Nm whilst the esseesse model gives 238Nm (despite a specified figure of 230m). The MA135 is specified at producing 230Nm (using a Garret turbo) whilst the 120TB is 206Nm (using a smaller IHI VL38).
